ELECTION DAY - JUNE 2, 2020 - View Specimen Ballot

 

BALLOTS WILL BE MAILED TO EVERY REGISTERED VOTER PER THE GOVERNOR'S EXECUTIVE ORDER REGARDING MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS - BALLOTS TO BE RETURNED BY MAIL OR PLACED IN A DELIVERY BOX AT 14 S. WATER STREET ON ELECTION DAY - JUNE 2 - See Charter Amendment 51. The Frostburg Board of Election Procedures are available to view as a "downloadable" at the bottom of this page.

If you do not receive a 2020 Election Ballot by mail by Wedneday, May 20, and you should have, please contact the City Administrator at or 301-689-6000 ext. 101.

Ballots will be mailed on or around May 14 and must be postmarked or delivered by June 2, 2020.


 

REGISTER TO VOTE IN THE CITY ELECTION BY MAY 4 - REGISTER HERE


A Delivery Box will be open on June 2 from 7 am to 7 pm at 14 S. Water Street (City Place)  to cast ballots in person.  Ballots can also be cast by mail or at a delivery box at City Hall.  Voters will cast votes using paper ballots in 2020.

Tuesday, May 26, 2020 -  Absentee Ballot Application Deadline at 4:00 p.m.
Monday, June 1, 2020 - Absentee Ballot Deadline at 4:00 p.m.
Tuesday, June 2, 2020 - Election Day  

Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at 9:00 am - Vote canvassing

The City of Frostburg is a commission form of government, in which each member is elected at-large for a specific position: Mayor, Commissioner of Finance, Commissioner of Public Safety, Commissioner of Public Works, and Commissioner of Water Parks and Recreation. Each term is 2 years.  The election is non-partisan.

THOSE SEEKING TO FILE FOR OFFICE:  Candidate forms are below and are due by May 4.  Complete forms and $10 may be dropped off at City Hall - please contact the City Administrator in advance to arrange for a date and time at or 301-689-6000 ext. 101 for alternative arrangements.


Candidate applications are provided below. Please note:
1. Applications are specific for the position sought
2. Applications must be signed and dated by the candidate and a witness from the City of Frostburg
3. Applications must be accompanied by the Disclosure Statement for the Frostburg Ethics Commission.
4. Applications must be accompanied by a non-refundable $10.00 fee 5. Deadline for candidates to file is Monday, May 4, 2020 at 4:00 pm.
