Pet Waste Disposal

Article 10, Section 10-3 of the Frostburg City Code requires that an owner immediately remove and properly dispose of any fecal matter deposited by their dog on any public or private property without the consent of the owner/person in lawful possession of the property. Dog fecal matter must be removed by placing said matter in a closed or sealed container and thereafter disposing of it by depositing it in a trash receptacle, sanitary disposal unit, or other closed or sealed container. Sight-impaired persons accompanied by service dogs are exempt from this regulation.

Pet waste bag stations are conveniently located in many City parks, at the Frostburg Dog Park, and in central locations within City limits. Five additional waste bag stations are planned for installation in Fall 2023.
