Frostburg Storybook Holiday

Storybook Holiday

FROSTBURG STORYBOOK HOLIDAY'S 20TH ANNIVERSARY IS ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 2nd!

It's the most wonderful time of the year when Storybook Holiday is finally here!  Join us in downtown Frostburg on Saturday, December 2nd for our nationally recognized and 20th annual Storybook Holiday event!  Where else can you enjoy a day with wandering elves, kids activities, holiday themed parking meters (with free parking by the way), and a downtown packed with vendors, shops, and restaurants full of holiday surprises and specials.  Even Grinches are welcome!  We can't guarantee their hearts will grow three sizes that day, but we'll do our best to make it happen.

Held annually on the first Saturday of December, this event kicks off with a Breakfast With The Elves (added cost) at the historic Hotel Gunter, followed by the Elf Olympics on Broadway, and the annual Frostburg Christmas Parade led by the "Run Your Bells Off For Autism" run down Main Street. Each year the CLC selects a holiday themed children's book and hosts the author/illustrator for a kids presentation during the event.  This year's event will feature returning author/illustrator, Will Hillenbrand, who will be dedicating this year's book, "Little Red", to the City of Frostburg. With City Place (14 South Water Street) as the hub of the event, free kids activities are there hosted throughout the day including writing letters to Santa, the Secret Elves’ Workshop,  There's also "Cocoa with the Po-Po" at the City Police station, Tail Waggin' Tutors at the Frostburg Library, the Holiday Vendor Fair at the Armstrong Insurance Garage, and much more. The event wraps up with the Tree Lighting Festival at City Place at 6pm and the classic holiday movie, "It's A Wonderful Life" starring Jimmy Stewart, at the Palace Theatre (added cost).
