Street Department – Laborer

The City of Frostburg, Maryland is seeking applicants for the position of Laborer in the Street Department.  This is an entry-level position with opportunity to advance.  Primary responsibility is collecting garbage and loading garbage into truck.  Other duties will include general street and sewer repair and maintenance, and plowing snow.  The position presents the opportunity to obtain a CDL license. The duties of the position are assigned by the Street Department Supervisor and will include nights, weekends, and holidays. The starting hourly rate for the position is $14.75. The City offers all employees medical insurance, optional dental and vision insurance, paid holidays, vacation, sick and safe leave, and participation in the Maryland State Pension System.
