Good afternoon,

Wondering about getting a mirror for s grant st and hill where they meet over by the ravens craft building. Iv been almost hit multiple times due to citizens not seen around the turn I feel they should stop look and then turn, but we're all not that lucky. I just wanted to know how to go through the channels to see about getting one. Please contact me by my number or my email. I would greatly appreciate to hear from you

Hi Taylor,

Thank you for reaching out — I completely understand your concern. I travel through that area frequently myself and have experienced similar issues.

I had the Street Department look into this, but unfortunately, there isn’t a great solution at this time. Mounting a mirror on the stop sign at Hill Street isn’t feasible, as it wouldn’t provide a helpful angle of visibility, and given the narrow roadway, the mirror would likely be struck by passing vehicles. They also explored placing a mirror on the opposite side of South Grant Street, but visibility of oncoming traffic remains limited until you're already quite close to the intersection.

It would certainly help if all drivers were more cautious and courteous, but as you mentioned, that’s not always the reality.

I’m sorry we’re unable to fulfill your request, but please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any other questions or concerns.

Have a nice day,

Emily Weber
