Mary Gracie, the City's Rental Housing Program Coordinator, would be glad to assist you. Mary is out of the office today, but please call her at 301-689-6000, ext. 112, on Tuesday to discuss.

You will need to fill out the 2024 Rental Registration Form and an Owner's Agent Certification Form and pay a $40.00 fee for the Rental License. Before tenants move in, you will also need to contact the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) for a lead test: https://mde.maryland.gov/programs/land/LeadPoisoningPrevention/Pages/ren.... A new lead certificate from MDE is required every time a new tenant moves in.

The unit will also need to be inspected by a City-designated rental housing inspector prior to tenants moving in.
