PERMIT SPECIALIST/CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER

The City of Frostburg, Maryland is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Permit Specialist/Code Enforcement Officer in the Community Development Department.  The Specialists primary duties and responsibilities are related to permitting and plan review, general customer assistance within the Department, and will be a sworn Code Enforcement Officer for the City of Frostburg.  Applications and copies of the Job Description are available at the links below. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service and organizational skills, be detail-oriented, familiar with building and construction practices, and have experience working in a government setting.  Preferred qualifications include an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree.  

This is a full time City position with health, dental, and life insurance; paid sick, vacation, and holiday days; and participation in the Maryland Pension System.  Candidates interested in a part-time position (approx. 30 hours a week) are also encouraged to apply as a part-time schedule may be accommodated.  Hourly rate will be based on qualifications and experience and will range from $15 to $17.75 per hour.  Applications will be accepted until 12:00 noon on Wednesday, August 10, 2022.  Interested persons must submit applications and resumes to the City Administrator at City Hall at 37 Broadway, Frostburg or by mail to P.
