Permits

The Community Development Department regulates and permits a wide variety of activities within the City of Frostburg. Please see the basic information below regarding the hows, whats, and whys of general permitting processes in the City. NOTE: The City of Frostburg contracts a third-party inspector, MEGCO Inspections, LLC, to conduct all inspections related to building permits.  Permit-related inspections can be scheduled at least 24-hours in advance by calling the MEGCO office: 1-800-304-5942.

Approval Process

Depending on the nature and scale of your submission, the approval process can take from a few minutes to several weeks, and can include several departments from the City of Frostburg, Allegany County, and the State of Maryland.
